Little Fella’s First Easter

I love Easter–He is RISEN! My Jesus conquered death, He has overcome the world, and nothing going on in my life is too much for Him to handle. Including my grumpy almost six month old. Though Little Fella won’t remember it, since I love Easter so much, I wanted to make his first special. We took him out to an egg hunt yesterday, he got a little Easter basket this morning, and we spent a lovely weekend as a family celebrating. To officially commemorate the occasion, I wanted to take an Easter picture, which went like this… Little Fella to his credit WAS fairly cheerful during the church service this morning, but by the time we got home he was done. So I figured I should go ahead and grab my camera and get the shot I wanted before his nap. (Lately in the afternoons he has been a bear.) Charlie said he was on my team, and I ran upstairs to grab my camera and came back down to find my son stuffed in his Easter basket.😂 It wasn’t the shot I had envisioned but I captured the moment before trying to get the picture I actually had wanted. Little Fella was apparently only good for one pose, and we quickly knew even with Daddy holding and playing with him, momma wasn’t going to get her dream Easter photo. But now after he is tucked in bed and we are buckling down to face the week, I can’t stop giggling at these photos. They aren’t picture perfect, but our sad little Easter bunny is the best, sweetest new life I’ve ever experienced, and I would trade our real, raw, wonderful life as a family for anything.
