The Ugly Places

When we moved into our rental, our landlord called the back part of the yard “no man’s land“. It was a mess, filled with years of rotting grass clippings, dog poop from the previous renters, and tangles of blackberry brambles.

Charlie has helped me to tame it and craft it into a lovely space now. The garden is flourishing. It’s exploded even more since I took these pictures a month ago.

The whole process has deeply encouraged my heart! How much more can God take the ugly places in our lives, and craft something beautiful and intentional that produces good fruit.
