Abide Update

The sweetest surprise this spring: God placed us on a street with glorious cherry blossom trees lining it. We couldn’t see it in the winter, but as spring slowly emerges, what beautiful things He has had already in store.
May I entrust Him to do the same lovely wonders in my life.

And I’m also grateful this spring He has given me moments to keep up with the book writing. Here’s a snippet from this afternoon:

If our hope is in Christ, one the greatest favors we can do for ourselves is to work to intentionally memorize the source of our hope. How often we forget, and the memory of His goodness grows dim and dull in our human hearts and minds. We need to continue to look to Jesus to abide in Him. Having scripture tucked away into our hearts for easy access provides a pivotal pathway to gazing at His face.
Like we would closely study and memorize the face of a loved one, may we study and memorize the likeness of Jesus we see in scripture.
